Cards - Marks & Spencer

Today I just wanted to share a couple more samples sent to me from the lovely Tigerprint UK that are now in store & available to buy at Marks & Spencer.

I'm known for my quirky, contemporary style but sometimes I do get more traditional & classic requests so here's a couple of examples... I always enjoy typography, it's one of my favourite things at the moment.

Jute Bags - Marks & Spencer

#Happy Friday!

One of the best parts of my job is receiving samples of products I've designed.  It's always really lovely to see things printed & presented to go in to the stores. I designed a new collection of jute bags for Tigerprint UK/Marks & Spencer last year & they are now available to buy. I really like the wooden buttons:)

They are re usable so eco friendly! They can be used as gift bags but they also make great little lunch bags or shopping bags too!

Designer Feature - Louise Tiler

Happy Monday!:)

Today I'd like to share with you all the stunning & beautiful work from the award winning designer Louise Tiler. It's hard to believe that Louise has only just graduated of the BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design course at Leeds College of Art,  for such a young new designer she really has made her mark. Her intricate illustrations & gorgeous style really has made her stand out from the crowd.

It’s been a great year for Louise so far as she was awarded the BDC (Business Design Centre) New Designer of the Year award 2011 & she was also the Grand Prize Winner of the SURTEX 2011 designext student design competition, Tigerprint online competition 2010 and 1st prize at the Bradford Textiles competition.

I'm sure this is only the beginning for Louise. She's a talent to watch!

Louise is also a lovely girl too & very grounded, we have worked together at the Tigerprint design studio. I first met her whilst she was still studying & was on a student placement. Her work really wowed me then, so I'm really happy to see her go on to achieve lots of success.

Well done Louise!

For more information about Louise's wonderful work you can visit her website here

Here are some of the judges comments from New Designers 2011

"Louise's strong sense of colour and line, combining hard and digital techniques, together with a clear vision for the commercial potential of her work".

New Cards - Marks & Spencer

#Happy Monday!:)

Today I thought I'd share with you a couple more card samples that I received from the lovely team at Tigerprint UK which are now available to buy in store at Marks & Spencer.

I'm known for my pattern designs but I also receive a lot of lovely typography briefs & commissions & these particular ones were based around photography & typography. I was given the photos to work with & I had to come up with my own editorial & designs (I was super chuffed that they kept my great friends caption)

My favourite is the bright pink design as it contemporary & has lots of hand drawn imagery on it & some quirky type too.

Hope you like them!:)

Card Samples

Happy Monday everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I'm back on the blog this week & I have lots of lovely things to share too. It's been very chaotic lately but all good fun too.

Today I'm posting some card samples I recently received from the lovely team at tigerprint.uk. I designed these last year & they are now in store at marksandspencer. I love receiving work samples it's great & it's nice to see the hard work pay off. I'm very lucky to have my work on a variety of products too.

The first card posted is based around surface pattern (which I'm known for creating) but the other cards are purely typographic. I love creating hand drawn type & I now regularly receive typography commissions from a variety of companies too (I'll post further examples of this when I can)

*I was super chuffed that they used the caption I wrote on the friend card, I thought it was very true!

I designed the second image (far right) for a Mother's Day card then I was asked to design friend card too both available to buy at Marks & Spencer!
(I LOVE working on typography!)

Happy Friday everyone! hope you have had a great week:)

Here are just a few quick snapshots of some some gift wrap samples I received from the lovely team at Tigerprint which are now available to buy at Marks & Spencer. I designed the surface pattern for them last year so it's really lovely when you finally get to see it on the finished product.

Hope you like it x
