Jennie Whitham

We are always super proud when we get feature one of our successful graduates of 'The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design' (the e-course) & today we are showcasing the fantastic work of Jennie Whitham, 'the name and face behind JLW Illustration'. 

Jennie graduated from Leeds College of Art in 2012 with a degree in Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design. She recently joined us on the e-course which 'allowed Jennie to expand her portfolio as well as push the boundaries of Surface Pattern'. Jennie's love of florals & geometric pattern lead her to combine the two to create designs that are 'bright and inviting'.

Jennie has work published in a Surface Pattern book, entitled, 'PatternBase', based around the popular blog with the same name. The book is due for release early 2013.

Lisa Congdon

Happy Monday everyone!
Some wonderful art and illustration to share with you today from the very talented illustrator Lisa Congdon. Lisa is from San Francisco, USA, where she became inspired by the nature around her; from trees to animals. She is a big collector of odd and unusual things, and all of her collections you can see on the A Collection A Day website; which has also been turned into a book available on etsy.

Hannah Nunn

Hannah Nunn creates a beautiful range of paper cut lamps that are inspired by the botanical world. Hannah has a workshop within her shop Radiance, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. Hannah has created a various of lamps including table lamps, wall lamps, floor lamps, pendant lampshades & fairy lights. Hannah is also a great friend of mine.

Hannah is one of the lovely contributors to 'The Art & Business of Surface Pattern Design' (the e-course).

She has recently launched a book (written by herself) 'illuminate - contemporary craft lighting' which captures the art of making lights from the imagination of designers, makers & buyers. You can pre-order Hannah's book now.

Vimrod

Happy Monday everyone!

This morning I am sharing with you some fantastic inspiration in the form of a little book packed with beautiful, fun and humurous illustrations from Lisa Swerling and Ralph Lazar, graphic designers who created Vimrod. The blurb explains it all!
