Designer Charity Bauble Project!

Happy Friday! We are honoured to be part the worthwhile Designer Christmas Charity Bauble project run by the lovely Tamsin Seed of Studio Seed. A team of superstar designers have created their own unique bauble designs all in aid of NSPCC. I am thrilled to be able to share some inspirational art and design with you every Tuesday morning as Rachael's 'Art and Creative Writer'. This week, we're featuring the hand made art and accessories of Viv Sliwka.

Viv is a Shropshire (U.K.) based designer/maker inspired by American primitive art who loves collecting and repurposing vintage textiles, ephemera and haberdashery. She collages, appliqués and embroiders her work by hand to create one-off pieces of art and usable accessories including brooches, purses and bags which she sells online under the business name, Hen's Teeth.

Viv also teaches others how to create their own upcycled artefacts including wrist cuffs and keepsake boxes at workshops she runs at Weston Park. With my birthday coming up, I'll be adding one of these lovelies to my wish list and hope to get along to one of Viv's events soon. More gorgeousness next week! Justine x

Beauty Breakdown: Snowberry magic

Good morning creative people!

Welcome to a Beauty afternoon with me, MaJo :) Since last Thursday I was given the opportunity of a personal post, I'm delighting you with gorgeously packed beauty products today (by the way... thanks Rachael for allowing me to share more about me last week).

Today I bring you fabulous packaging of New Zeland's brand Snowberry Beauty. The brand was created by cosmetician Soraya Hendesi when she lacked to find beauty products she could trust. She describes her products as 'authentic skin care', and that same adjective is the one I would use to describe the packaging created by the amazing London artist Rob Ryan. Ryan's specialises in bold, colorful and story-telling paper-cut art, which beautifully complements the idealistic, magic and whimsical standards of the brand. Please enjoy this wonderful illustrations that evoke fairy and nourishing worlds, and then let me know if they didn't just make you dream, smile and want to buy them... hihihi.
