Clara Piedrahita
Hello, finally Friday! Inspired by trees and nature, this is the latest work of jewellery designer Clara Piedrahita (who also happens to be my wonderful and very inspiring aunt).
These fantastic miniature trees have all been created with different stones, minerals, gold, silver and a number of natural seeds and leaves. Presented as decorative pieces, these gorgeous trees can also be worn as broaches. I love the different textures and surfaces that come together to create a specific shape. What do you think? Hope you have a beautiful weekend. Love Moni!

Make Up
Hey! Hope you're having a good day! I love how art has no limits when it comes to a surface or canvas. I have to admit I'm a fan of a natural look, but sometimes make up really blows my mind. Here are a few examples of this! Colour really pops up next to skin, eyes and features. I love it, hope you do too! See you tomorrow. Love Moni!

Su Blackwell
You know how when you spot something you like, you suddenly start seeing it everywhere you go? Last year I discovered and fell in love with paper sculptures made with old books and since then I have been finding the most amazing "paper artists".
Today I would like to introduce Su Blackwell. This artist/art director works mainly with paper and i have to say I am completely mesmerised by her work. The amazing scenes and stories that flow out of old books have such a magical and beautiful feel to them, they are true works of art. Inspired mainly by fairytales, Su's work is unbelievably unique. Here are a few images of her work, for more visit her website. Do you like it? Love Moni!

ModCloth
Happy Monday!
Since I am working on my very own vintage inspired project, I thought I would share some of the scrumptious vintage inspired design to be found online at ModCloth. Their quirky, retro inspired design is completely out there yet is so lovely to look at you'll quickly find yourself continuously pointing at the screen saying "I want that!". Don't even get me started on their vintage clothing section!
Enjoy! Kelly :)

E-Course Sneak Peek!
Happy Thursday everyone!
Today I just wanted to give you a little sneak peek of some the work & designs that I'll be sharing on the e-course. Can you believe how quick it's come around, we launch module one on Monday!
In the later stages of the course, I'll be talking through & demonstrating how I took some of my rough surface pattern concept ideas and reworked them into technical repeats for wallpaper production (with bonus technical workshops added to teach you all of this).
Here are a few snippets...hope you like them.
Registration is still open for The Art & Business of Surface Pattern Design.
