V&A Exhibition: Hollywood Costume

Running from the 20th October to 27th January is the exciting & unique 'Hollywood Costume' exhibition as the V&A Museum!

'Clothes are never a frivolity, they always mean something'.

The exhibition will include over 100 of the most iconic character costumers from a century of Hollywood films. There will be 3 galleries to explore including costumes from 'The Wizard of Oz', 'Titanic', 'Indian Jone', 'Pirates of The Caribbean' & 'Avatar'. The exhibition will go in depth into the making & designing of costumes for Hollywood & designing a character 'from script to screen'. Most costumes have never even been displayed before!

We are super giddy here in the studio as we have finally launched our new online shop. We have been working really hard & there has been so much going on behind the scenes to make the shop happen.

Festive dots and spots!

dots and spots has gone all festive with their newly re-designed website! dots and spots are a small design studio based in Somerset, & ran by owner & artist Beacky Peabody. 'She creates unique and original pieces of artwork by cutting and tearing paper and using collage to create the finished design'.
The site now offers some fantastic product photography as well as beautifully designed cards, wrapping paper & festive ribbon! You can visit dots and spots on their website, see what they are up to on their blog or check them out on Twitter!

Silvia Dekker

Recently Rachael announced that she is now a proud member of the Lilla Rogers Studio. For the next few months we have decided to feature a regular weekly showcase from Lilla's esteemed group of designers & Illustrators. Today we bring you the lovely Silvia Dekker.

Silvia Dekker is an illustrator based in the Netherlands. Silvia has been freelancing since 2001 which was when she graduated from her second degree Fashion & Textile Design, Conceptual Art & Design being her first degree. Silvia is inspired by nature & gardening as well as fairy tales, folklore, 60's & 70's textile design. She has designed for a various of clients including Mudpie, The Gift Wrap Company, TeNeues & many more. And has designed for many different products including fashion, interiors, ceramics, stationary, gift wrap, food packaging, toys & many more. Enjoy, Hannah.

Tigerprint's Latest Competition: Hand-drawn Typography!

The lovely people at the Tigerprint studio have set another wonderful brief for their regular competition, & this time the brief is hand-drawn typography! We can't wait to see the entries for this one :)
The brief can be explored using different media to create a hand-drawn effect & can be designed for greetings cards, gift wrap & stationery! They are looking for fun quotes & sayings, so have fun with it!

London Cocktail Week!

From the 14th - 20th October, Selfridges is hosting 'London Cocktail Week' and you can enjoy 'a free cocktail night in Wednesday 17th October in the luxurious Moet & Chandon champagne bar'! The bottles & packaging are inspirational in design, some with beautiful pattern & others in all colour of the rainbow! See below for our favourite designs! H&M Autumn Fashion featuring Lana Del Ray!

Cutting edge fashion to share with you today featuring one of the studios favourite singers! Lana Del Ray has recently become the face of the new H&M collections, including their brand new 'Autumn Fashion' line. The photography is gorgeous with moody blues & greys, & Lana Del Ray is looking fabulous!
