2012 - My year in travel!

I had set myself a goal in 2012 to travel overseas as much as possible! (As well as visiting lots of new places within the UK). I love revisiting places but it's my ambition to discover lots of new & exciting destinations, I have a huge wish list of places that I want to explore & I'm really excited to book more spontaneous trips for 2013! There really is a big wide world out there so I'm saving lots to go on lots of adventures!

I was lucky enough to visit Paris for the second time along with exploring Edinburgh, Barcelona, Milan, Stockholm & the beautiful Cape Verde Islands for the very first time!

Have you travelled this year? Where is your dream destination? I'd love to hear your thoughts, you can share your comments below...

I feel truly blessed that my job allows me to have this freedom. I work crazy hours sometimes but I'm really rewarded with the flexibility that it brings. I regularly travel to London for work along with visiting lots of design shows & galleries in & around Europe! I'm a spontaneous person & LOVE the unknown so I'm looking forward to seeing where my design career takes me!

Stockholm - Colour Palettes

After spending a few days away in beautiful Stockholm I left with a camera crammed with inspiring images & a notebook full of design ideas! Here are a few of my favourite colour palettes that I spotted whilst shopping in the city.

Streets of Stockholm (part 2)

Following on from our earlier post, here are a selection of images showcasing street art & fly posters dotted around the streets of Stockholm. I love all of the textures!

Today I wanted to share some images from wondering the streets of Stockholm (some are just quick iPhone snapshots). I hope they inspire you!

Stockholm - Monki!

Whilst in Stockholm I was introduced to an AMAZING new high street store called Monki (thank you Tessa!) The shop itself is just beautiful & uniquely styled. I could have bought every item in there (if my luggage allowance had let me!)

"Our stores are walk-in closets filled with treasures! To step into one of them is to step into a part of the Monki World: the strange Forgotten Forest, the bio-hazardous City of Oil and Steel or the magical Sea of Scallops".

Monki is a Swedish brand but I was actually told that they have stores in London too! (YAY!) Everything about their brand is stunning & visually appealing. Even their website graphics are innovative & adorned with beautiful illustrations. They also have a super uber cool magazine, you can read the current & past issues here.

"Monki is both a way of doing life and doing fashion. Monki is a store concept and a fashion brand. The stores are a part of a Monki world that constantly tells new stories. The clothes have a style that represents personality and independence, an alternative that’s full of dreams".

They are my new favourite brand & Swedish obsession! To shop Monki online click here.
