The Amazing Navyblur!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today I'd like to introduce to you all two very talented photographers that make up the dynamic duo that is Navyblur. I'm a lover of photography & these two just tick all the boxes for me, so much so that I've just booked them for my own wedding in 2013. I first met Christine & Xander at the wonderful 'Do What You Love' retreat back in May 2011. I was really impressed by their fun & quirky approach & general loveliness. I'm super happy to announce that I've also booked them to work their magic with some of my design products too! (launching in 2012)

They work across all areas from weddings through to commercial photography. I'll be sharing more of their stunning images as part of our regular 'Wedding Wednesday' theme tomorrow. Below is a selection of images from the amazing retreat.

You can follow them on twitter @navyblur they also have a great Facebook page here.

Stunning Photography - Kat Sloma

Today I wanted to share with you the truly amazing photography by Kat Sloma. Kat is another lovely talent who I met at the dowhatyouloveforlife/retreat back in May this year.

Her pictures just made me say 'WOW' I'm a huge fan of textures & colours so her photography just ticks all the boxes for me (Love, LOVE the top three images)

Mini Biography:

"I’m an artist, primarily a photographer, with a strong belief that everyone can benefit from having art and creativity in their life. I love all forms of art, and practice painting, writing and drawing in addition to my first love, photography.

I’ve always been in love with visual art. I’ve been building my photography skills for over 10 years, but truly discovered a deep passion for this art form in the last two years while living in Italy and traveling Europe. I moved to Italy in 2009 for a corporate work assignment as an engineering project manager, but I leave in 2011 as an artist. Two years of living and traveling in an environment so rich in art, history and visual beauty have changed me forever.

Along my personal creative journey, I’ve discovered that having a regular practice of art and creativity connects me to my true self. It increases my happiness and satisfaction in every day life. I’ve also discovered a passion for encouraging others along their journey as well. I love what creativity brings to my life; I want others to find the same kind of happiness, satisfaction and confidence through art and creativity".

Like Kat's work? She has just launched a fabulous new e-course For more information you can visit the page here

West of Whimsy - Photography!

#Happy Friday!

Today we are in for a lovely treat on the blog as I have the stunning work of Eileen Nishi from 'west of whimsy' to share with you all. I first met the talented photographer the amazing dowhatyouloveforlife retreat & I was wowed by her beautiful work.

Below you can see some of Eileen's favourite work & mine:) I just LOVE the 'palette' & 'green chair' images they just yummy, love the texures!

Here's a little bit of background about Eileen's work:

"My photography journey started in July of 2007 with the purchase of my first “grown-up” camera – a Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1.  Looking through the lens provided a new view of the world for me and since then I’ve been capturing images that show my passion for nature, bright colors & bold patterns.

Originally hailing from Eugene, Oregon, I grew up without a TV on several acres just east of town.  My parents were avid gardeners and flower vendors at the local farmers market in the summer, so an appreciation for the outdoor aesthetic was naturally cultivated.

The acquisition of a new camera (Sony NEX5) and Lensbaby Composer lens has opened up a whole new world of photographic possibilities – the results of which can be seen in my recent work.

Other new creative endeavors include painting and mixed media collage – an outlet where I’m excited to be able to use my photography in a whole new way!
