Artist Review / / Paz Brarda

I am thrilled to be able to share some inspirational art and design with you every Tuesday morning as Rachael's 'Art and Creative Writer'. This week, I'm featuring the eye catching collages of Paz Brarda.

Paz trained at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina where she now runs her own design agency. Due to my limited understanding of Spanish, there was somewhat of a language barrier when researching her background but if you hablo Español then you'll find more information about her work here.

I love the mix of vintage imagery with the fluorescent graffiti marks and textured backgrounds, more eye candy next week, Justine x

Artist Review: Martin O'Neill

I am thrilled to be able to share some inspirational art with you every Tuesday morning as Rachael's  'Art and Creative Writer'. This week, we're featuring the hand made collages of Martin O'Neill.

Martin is a highly accomplished illustrator based in the U.K. He has an old school attitude towards his techniques, mainly using a blend of collage, silkscreen, photography, paint, and digital techniques.

He has created collaged illustrations for the publishing, editorial, advertising and design markets internationally. I love the layering of imagery and mix of nostalgic eras within his work. More eye candy next week, Justine x.

Artist Review: Batya Cavens

I am thrilled to be able to share some inspirational art with you every Tuesday morning as Rachael's new 'Art and Creative Writer'. This week, we're featuring the mixed media collages of Batya Cavens.

Batya grew up and worked in Tel Aviv, Israel before moving to Canada in 2002. She previously had her own  studio producing a wide array of clothes, accessories and home furnishings but now concentrates on creating art.

She has an urban graffiti/street art style created with layers of collage and naive, expressive painted motifs. Her work is available for sale at Saatchi Online and she has a website with more work and details of her exhibitions here. Have an inspirational week, Justine x

Recently Rachael announced that she is now a proud member of the Lilla Rogers Studio. For the next few months we have decided to feature a regular weekly showcase from Lilla's esteemed group of designers & Illustrators. Today we bring you the lovely Macrina Busato.

Macrina Busato is an illustrator based in Spain. Macrina uses a lot of collage within her illustrations as well as mixing in other medias including watercolour, screen-printing, stamping, pens & textile dyeing. Withing Macrina's illustrations are lots of textures, layering & detailed drawings. Macrina stays inspired by traveling, walking around the city, beach or local woods. Books are also a great source of inspiration too for Macrina too. Macrina has an impressive client list including CocaCola Foundation, K & COMPANY, Zeixs Books & many more. You can also find Macrina on the Behance network. Enjoy, Hannah.
