Recently Rachael announced that she is now a proud member of the Lilla Rogers Studio. For the next few months we have decided to feature a regular weekly showcase from Lilla's esteemed group of designers & Illustrators. Today we bring you the talented Jon Cannell.

Jon Cannell is an illustrator based in North Bend, Washington. Jon creates quirky, illustrative & colourful illustrations. He creates illustrations particularly for children's books for publishers such as Chronicle Books, Getty Publications & Storey Publishing. Jon tends to work traditionally using pen & ink, watercolour & collage before working digitally. He is inspired by almost everything around him including books, magazines, watching his children draw & visiting art exhibitions. As well as publishers Jon has many other clients including Better Homes & Gardens, Harvard University, Starbucks & many more. Enjoy, Hannah.

Silvia Portella

Silvia Portella is an illustrator based in Berlin, Germany but originally from Barcelona, Spain. Silvia originally worked as a graphic designer, but soon realized that illustration is her passion. Silvia uses hand-drawn imagery which is then manipulated digitally. Looking at different designs, children's books, blogs & traveling keeps Silvia inspired. Silvia has many clients including Bravo Magazine, Poketo & many more. Enjoy, Hannah.

Jillian Phillips

Jillian Phillips is a freelance graphic designer & illustrator based in Dorset, UK. Jillian has worked in-house designing for childrens' products for many retailers including Mothercare, Debenhams, Marks and Spencer & Adams since 1996. Until a few years ago, she started designing for stationary too for companies such as Paperchase, Madison Park Group & Galison & many more. Then in 2008 she met Lilla Rogers and became part of her studio. Jillian has many other clients including Gap, Hallmark, Waitrose & many more. Jillian tends to work digitally using Illustrator & Photoshop, but sometimes enjoys drawing by hand with pen & ink. You can also find Jillian on Facebook & she also has a blog with weekly posts. Lisa Martin

Happy Monday!

Lisa Martin creates naive and beautiful children's illustration and design, focusing on creating 'a range of fun and interactive wallpapers and decals'. Lisa Martin is based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, having recently graduated from Leeds College of Art with a BA (Hons) Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design.

'Lisa creates illustrations and surface pattern designs aimed towards the children's market. Inspired by all things bright and quirky, her work includes a range of whimsy characters and hand drawn textures.'
