Hello Hello! I have had a lovely day today making my way through Indy shops and lovely boutiques. This is one of my favourite things to do. One of the reasons I love writing this post on Thursdays is that I can actually get distracted from wanting to buy all the gorgeous things for myself and get excited about sharing these with all of you.
Today I want to introduce Rice. This sweet and happy brand was created by Charlotte in Denmark and her husband. It started as a dream which turned into an adventure and finally became their reality and dream job. They have a wide range of products from home décor objects to accessories. I especially like their melamine line, it is lovely to be able to have happy and quirky prints in your kitchenware.
Do check their lovely website, it is fun and has a fun and playful feel to it, "People care, we care" is their slogan and that's what everything by Rice feels like. Love Moni!

One of my favourite stockists, the wonderful @HeartGallery is celebrating it's 5th Birthday... 'Five & Fabulous!' To mark the occasion they are hosting a lovely garden party on the 8th of September 4-8pm.
Heart Gallery is a beautiful place to visit right in the center of the lovely Hebden Bridge.

The I Am Project
#Happy Monday! :)
I want to share with you all today the amazing work by the 'The I Am Project' I first came across their designs via the wonderful world of Pintrest. It was the quirky, illustrative & stunning typography that caught my eye initially. I happily pinned away to find that there was a fantastic project & theme running behind the beautiful designs too. I then contacted the lovely Tobe from the group to find out more information.
I also found a shiny new blog to look at too called (BIA) http://becauseitsawesome.blogspot.com/ ran by Tobe.
The I Am Project background information:
"Basically, a couple of my dear design friends and I found ourselves repeating the same conversations about the challenges of growing up as girls, and what we wish someone had been able to get through our thick skulls. In our experiences, girls feel so much pressure to fit in, to be liked by other girls and boys alike, and sometimes neglect being true to themselves in the process. There are plenty of organizations and adults kids trust that will give great advice about not giving in to social pressures and being yourself, but most do it in a "you'll learn someday" kind of tone. If there were just a voice that really resonated with young women, we think the world would see a lot more stronger-willed young ladies! And so The I Am Project was born.
BIA wasn't initially the prime audience, but it was an easy and authentic place to start. And we do feel like a lot of the lessons we need to learn when we're young continue to come up as adults, so these messages serve as great ongoing reminders. So we're beginning our journey on the blog, and seeing where it takes us.
Our wish is to affirm and inspire the beauty in every woman, to celebrate the uniqueness in each of us, as well as the commonalities that unite us as women. We want to create a space to confront the dark places that come with growth; to witness women being valued for more than their bodies, clothes, or societal projections; to feel inspired by stories and images; and to become more deeply rooted in who we are as women. We want to become a net of resources that will nurture and fortify each other's confidence, and fill women with awareness of the extraordinary beauty that each of us uniquely brings to the world".

Qualy
Hello! As a child my favourite TV program was Captain Planet, a silly cartoon about 5 kids around the world saving the earth from villains who tried to pollute it. Thanks to that I always grew up with a consiousness for looking after the world and I love finding people that are trying to do the same with their businesses. This is the case with Qualy, a very cool company that makes adorable decorative objects with a function and the best part is that they operate under a Green Concept. This means that all of their products are 100% recyclable.
A little bird keyring who returns home every day, a self watering flower pot, a self feeding pet plate, all colourful and quirky. These are just a few examples of the brilliance of Qualy. Have a look at their website and enjoy the playfulness of the products, have a lovely day, Love Moni.

Inspiring Words
Today I thought I'd post some beautiful words after all of the UK riot drama recently & the shocking events that occurred in Norway too. Hopefully these will inspire you, make you think & may even put a little smile on your face.

Designer Feature - Louise Tiler
Happy Monday!:)
Today I'd like to share with you all the stunning & beautiful work from the award winning designer Louise Tiler. It's hard to believe that Louise has only just graduated of the BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design course at Leeds College of Art, for such a young new designer she really has made her mark. Her intricate illustrations & gorgeous style really has made her stand out from the crowd.
It’s been a great year for Louise so far as she was awarded the BDC (Business Design Centre) New Designer of the Year award 2011 & she was also the Grand Prize Winner of the SURTEX 2011 designext student design competition, Tigerprint online competition 2010 and 1st prize at the Bradford Textiles competition.
I'm sure this is only the beginning for Louise. She's a talent to watch!
Louise is also a lovely girl too & very grounded, we have worked together at the Tigerprint design studio. I first met her whilst she was still studying & was on a student placement. Her work really wowed me then, so I'm really happy to see her go on to achieve lots of success.
Well done Louise!

Words I Love!
#Happy Friday
As you know I love lots of the beautiful words & quotes you can find on pintrest & I've been happily pinning lots of them onto to my board. I was feeling very inspired... so I decided to create one of my own with some quirky hand drawn type.
I love a good bit of doodling & experimenting! Hope you like it:)
