Lovely Louise Tiler

Good Morning Everyone! Louise Tiler is a young British designer who has had an incredible year since graduating from University and today I'm sharing photographs of her new collection of beautifully designed cards. She is also a contributor to the groundbreaking e-course, and as a student I highly recommend this course to anyone who has love for pattern.

"Louise Tiler has been heralded as on of Britain's most promising young designers. In 2011 she gained a First from Leeds College of Art, won BDC New Designer of the Year, and was awarded Grand Prize Winner of Surtex Designext Competition in New York. "I am passionate about creating timeless hand-drawn and hand-painted designs that are influenced by the past and inspired by intricate, beautiful things."'

Morning bloggers!

This morning I am sharing with you the fantastic New Zealand based fashion label called twentysevennames. The label was created in 2006 by designers Rachel Easting and Anjali Stewart who's main inpsirations come from contemporary art. Their label can be found in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, in the UK and the United States. I love the combination of contemporary navys, mustard yellows with bright greens and pinks alongside beatifully designed floral, striped, and repeat patterns. The application of these colours and patterns on fresh, comtemporary, edgy fashion design with the use of on trend Peter Pan collars, crocheted panels and button-up shirts makes for a stunningly designed collection. I especially love the way on which the clothes have been photographed blending into to the wallpapered backgrounds! Very, very cool!

Second pattern course student shortlisted for top design award!

WOW! We are so excited! We have just received more wonderful news about another one of our e-course students. We announced in yesterday's post that one of our students had been selected as one of the 'TOP 5 FINALISTS' in the Ideal Home Wallpaper Design Competition we now have news that Jane Bridges from Patternhouse has also been selected & is in the top 5!

We are thrilled for Jane! it's so lovely & rewarding to see!

Pattern course student shortlisted for top design award!

We are very excited to announce that one of our talented e-course students 'Nikki Griffiths' has been selected as one of the 'TOP 5 FINALISTS' for the Ideal Home Show Wallpaper Competition.

We are so thrilled for Nikki! We actively encourage the students to submit to design competitions during class times so it's so lovely for us to see them flourish! The competition is a collaboration between The Ideal Home Show & the lovely Wallpapered.com, it's been such a fantastic opportunity for our students. We can't thank them enough, Wallpapered.com are also one of our wonderful e-course contributors.

THE PRIZE: The winner will receive the title of ‘Ideal Wallpaper Designer 2012’, 5 printed rolls of his or her design courtesy of Wallpapered.com and have their wallpaper featured on Wallpapered.com for sale via a unique link. Along with this, the wallpaper will be promoted on the Ideal Home Show website and it will be used at the Ideal Home Show 2013!

The top 5 shortlisted entries will be displayed at this year’s Ideal Home Show on 16th March 2012 and later judged by our esteemed panel of judges, including Wallpapered.com & Laurence Lewelyn-Bowen, followed with a prize giving ceremony on the 26th March 2012.

The Ideal Home Show, London will open its doors for 17 days from 16th March – 1st April 2012, at London’s Earls Court. Tickets can be either booked online or by calling the Ticket Hotline on 0844 858 6763, or for further information about the show visit the website here.

I just love the simplicity of the selected B&W cupcake wallpaper, it's cleverly combined with a monochrome palette creating a quirky feel that is contemporary, fun & very fresh. Well done Nikki!

Mother's Day Ideas

Good morning everyone! Hannah here. Firstly is a couple of photographs showing Rachael's card designs which have been designed for this years Mother's day, now in store at Marks and Spencer.

Also on Wednesday I shared many comp shopping photographs from around Leeds. Whilst I was researching there were some inspirational Mother's day cards and gift ideas too. A lot of these gift ideas are from Marks and Spencer, Hallmark, Debenhams and Paperchase.

I'd like to share them with you today and they will hopefully give you some last minute gift ideas.
