New skins for Christmas!!!

I Love all these designs for the laptop and I Phone, they are brilliant! I think Rachael has an amazing eye for colour, pattern and design; that you can't help but want to work when your laptop looks as good as this. Plus it is a practical product too, as it stops my macbook from getting scratched so it is good on all accounts. And I hope my niece isn't reading this, but this is a perfect present for her for Christmas!!! Squint

Today is a Wonderful day! Friday! So I bring you something wonderful.
I don't know what all of you have as screen savers on your computers. Photographs, landscapes, pebbles or an overload of icons.  My Screen saver is the photo of my dream bed, I have it there so that I can look at it enough times to eventually own it one day.  Maybe a money bank will prove more efficient, but I still love looking at it.

This wonderful bed belongs to Squint!
Based in London, Squint makes amazing bespoke furniture using patchwork and traditional shapes.  It is a rare and special decoration option that will fill up any room and give personality and fabulous style to any space.  Made in England and upholstered traditionally, every one of their products is classy but quirky.

Kitty & Dude

Happy Thursday everybody!

I have an empty wall at home that has been bothering me, I want to fill that space in a different way. I started thinking about a remote memory I have, one of my first ever memories of my great grandmothers house.  It's a blurry memory, more like stills and images, but what I always see in it is a wall full of ceramic plates that she had hand painted.  There were big and small ones most illustrated with flowers.  It was a beautiful wall and I think I want to recreate it.  So while I get myself to ceramic classes I did some browsing for artists who can give me a little help.

Introducing the amazing work of  Cosima Sempil. This ceramicist from Edingburgh has a beautiful range of ceramic products under the name of Kitty & Dude.  From plates, mugs and jugs, to birds and pigs and even flower printed grenades, all ceramic that you can use, wear and hang.  The products come in quirky and unusual shapes with sweet prints. I love them!  I think I might start my new wall with one of these!

Cine Liberty

Hello Hello Everyone!

Wednesday already! Today I bring you some brilliant ideas to that midweek-what should I wear-crisis!

Liberty of London is one of the most beautiful and well known department stores in the UK.  They are also renowned for their signature prints and the gorgeous products that wear these prints.

I came across these lovely videos made by Liberty's experts that teach us fun ideas to with our scarves in what's starting to be a cold cold winter! So dig out some fabrics and scarves, mix some prints and have fun!

Great Idées

Hello Everyone! This Thursday I would like to share with you a delightful magazine that makes me really excited every time it's dropped through the letterbox. 

Marie Claire Ideés is the home style and crafts version from Marie Clare, France.
With only 4 issues a year, it features beautiful and easy to make ideas to do around the house.  It also comes with instructions for all the things shown, and even though it is published only in French it is still fantastic and easy to follow.
Here are some pics from the current issue.  It has some lovely ideas for this Christmas.

Designers Marketplace!

It's that time of year already... & the fab Christmas Designers Marketplace is just around the corner. It really is a great event for designer/makers to get involved in. There's an eclectic mix of wonderful designers that take part in each event. The Marketplace is organised by the super talented Helen Stevens from surfacephilia (more on that to come, Helen will be featured on the blog soon!)

MIMA

Here a few images that my friend sent me recently when she spotted my work at the MIMA in Middlesbrough. I havn't actually managed to visit it myself yet so it was lovely to receive the images. I'm really impressed by the building & it's contemporary & striking interior.

The MIMA is next on my hit list of places to visit!
