Surface Pattern Showcase! (part 1)

Today I'm thrilled to share with you with all a wonderful selection of designs from module 1 of the surface pattern e-course. We are so lucky to have worked with such a dedicated, hard working & talented group. I know the students are going to go on to great things!

Happy Monday everyone!
I am featuring the lovely work of Emily Burningham today, whose work shows a "determination to combine good design with quality materials whilst supporting UK manufacture." Not only does is her work an inspiring example of British design, they are beautiful to look at with their organic nature, based on English gardens, Japanese textiles and the Arts and Crafts Movement. Below are just a few examples of the pieces she sells on her website. The lovely lady has also agreed to an interview for my dissertation, lets hope I can ask some good questions!

Cate Parr

Cate Parr is a British artist/fashion illustrator currently based in Los Angeles. With watercolour as a technique she creates amazing illustrations that capture the same style, mood and ethereal uniqueness seen on a fashion editorial. Stunning Stationery!

Happy (Wedding) Wednesday everyone!

Today I'd like to feature a beautiful collection designed by Studio Seed. Tamsin is the talented designer behind the brand and her speciality is illustration & wedding stationery. Studio Seed takes on a number of design & creative work from freelancing for high street retailers through to brand design. I'm a big fan of the wedding ranges & I just adore her new collection.

"A pretty, modern vintage wedding collection including 'Save the Date' postcards and Daytime and Evening Wedding Invitations. The couple had lots of lovely ideas for their wedding stationery and we used details from the day including the lovely eau de nil colour which the bridesmaids will be wearing".
