Typography Served
Happy typography Friday!
Something very special for you today, in the form of illustrated lyrics to the well known Beatles song 'Hey Jude'! 'Typography Served' is an online site of curated work from the leading creatives of Behance. The site therefore lets talented designers, illustrators & artists showcase their work, such as Italian Stefano Agabio who drew the beautiful, hand-drawn typography below. The project was created in April 2012, & follows the song line for line.
To see the illustrations to the rest of the song click here. You can visit the Typography served website & see more talent, here!

ACID "Commission it, Don't Copy it" Campaign
"ACID (Anti Copying in Design) is calling all designers who deal with high street retailers to sign a petition to invite major retailers to join ACID’s “Commission it, Don’t Copy it” campaign, sign a voluntary Code of Conduct and adopt IP guidelines to help buyers avoid unintentional infringement." (Taken from Change.org)
Please help support our wonderful friends at ACID by singing the petition for the “Commission it, Don’t Copy it” campaign they are currently running, in order to inform retailers & designers about Intellectual Property rights! The campaign is helping to teach knowledge & respect towards the rights of each designer & their own original work. With my recent case with M&S in regards to an issue with a 'strikingly similar design' (read here for more information, & here for the recent update) this could not come at a better time!

Alumni Success!
During module 3 of 'The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design (the e-course)'
we invited a number of prestigious companies to set live briefs for our

a 'Jubilee' theme. The results were fantastic, we were blown away by
the designs & we are thriled to announce that four of our recent
alumni were sselected by Wallpapered! Suzanne Washington, Mel Smith, Sian Elin & Alice Perry
were all signed & all have ranges available online now! You can
see a selection of their images below as well as some of the wonderful
designs of other talented e-course graduates! We are so proud!
