Beauty Breakdown: Beauty inspiration from Davines

Good morning creative people!
Welcome to a Beauty morning with me, MaJo :) Every Thursday I'll delight you with gorgeously packed beauty products (and every now and then, I'll even throw you a beauty secret).

Today I want to show you the exquisite and vary packaging of Davines products. Davines is an Italian brand specialised in high-end sustainable hair care and skin products. They have different lines with different packaging that range from very minimal and clear to more complex used of patterns and illustrations.

I love how the packaging of the Essential Hair Care line actually communicates its nature. Simple clear containers, minimal labels and beautiful colours that identify the different uses within the line. Wouldn't these packagings make beautiful inspiration sources for your next color palettes?

I love the pastel colours and subtle geometric patterns used in the labels of the For Wizards line.

Naturaltech is divided in 7 families specialised to fight the most common hair and scalp problems: energizing, nourishing, purifying, rebalancing, detoxifying  wellbeing and calming. This line has more of a scientific approach that is reflect in its packaging. For example, see how the containers of this line look more like pharmaceutical bottles? Can you also see how the illustrations on the labels represent the therapeutic properties of each family?

Davines Authentic Formulas is a product line with at least 98% of natural origin ingredients. The aromatherapy use of floral essences and natural citrus fruits is evidenced on the beautiful and fresh label designs.

When I was little, my mother used to apply different natural recipes on my hair to make it nice and beautiful (now that I don't do it, my hair isn't as pretty :P). Here are some of them:
  • for nourishing: use a blender to mix half an avocado and an egg together. Apply to your hair and cover it with plastic wrap to keep it warm. Leave it for at least 30 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water and if necessary, a delicate shampoo.
  • for revitalising: mix a part of apple cider vinegar with a part of water and put it in a spray bottle for an easy use. Spray the mix on shampooed wet hair and massage. Let it act for a few minutes and then rinse. Do not use conditioner afterwards, the vinegar will not only revitalise your hair leaving it shiny but will also leave it smooth and silky :)
  • for shine: pour beer (any kind) on shampooed damp hair. Massage it and leave it for at least 5 minutes and rinse with cold water. Beer adds volume and also shine and gloss thanks to the vitamin B and proteins in it.
Try them all or just one... do them at least once a week and you'll notice how your hair becomes more and more beautiful with time :)

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read. See you next week with more inspiring designs. Have a great day, MaJo
