Hayley Robinson

Happy Monday bloggers!

Some wonderful and bold work from a third year student studying BA (Hons) Textiles and Surface Design at CCAD.

"I focus on all aspects of design, taking a lot of inspiration from florals, combining them with other themes and concepts. I love the way nature can produce flowers which intertwine with each other in so many different ways and no collection of flowers in the garden can ever be the same. I try to take this idea through to my design work by drawing and printing collections of floral to show movement and shape."

I love the combination and contrast of hand-drawn elements alongside digitial manipulation. Her main influence is Georgia O Keefe "the way she paints flowers in a bold way but still keeping a high level of delicacy." Hayley has taken part in many live projects such as competitions run by Tigerprint and the Bradford Textiles Society and Indigo in Paris. She has also been placed in the young achievements award art magazine for a textile piece.

Enjoy! Kelly :)
