A bit of background information:

Dear Supporter

‘10 to the Power of 10 Challenge’ - in memory of Jane Rose

Michelle Storer has organized ‘An evening of Fashion and Fizz!’, on 24th September at St Margaret’s Hall, Horsforth, Leeds to help boost funds for the '10 to the power of 10 challenge' in memory of Jane Rose. Jane was a patient at both Cookridge and then Yorkshire Cancer Centres in Leeds for many years and many of her friends will be supporting this event.

Can you please help Michelle to maximise this fundraising initiative by providing a gift or suitable prize for the Grand Raffle which will take place on the night?

The Yorkshire Cancer Centre at the St James’s Institute of Oncology is the biggest purpose-built cancer centre in Europe. Our £10 million Appeal will further enhance facilities in this 21st century cancer treatment centre, ensuring that our Yorkshire cancer patients receive world-class care. All funds raised from this appeal is will be used directly to benefit patients at the Cancer Centre.

The Appeal will fund:

*Specialist Radiotherapy Medical Equipment -
IMAT (intensity modulated arc therapy) that delivers accurate and high dose radiotherapy to the tumour site whilst preserving healthy tissue.

*Research and development -
that will ensure we are leading the way to prevent, diagnose and
treat cancer.

*‘Home from home’ comforts -
that make such a difference to patients on wards and in other
departments when they are undergoing treatment.

*Patient environment through the Arts and Gardens project -
therapeutic projects that will uplift, calm and have a remedial effect on
our cancer patients.

I think we can all agree that this is such an important charity as cancer has effected many of us. I'm really honored that Michelle as asked me to get involved with the event,  it's such an amazing & admirable thing she is doing & it's really moving, she's an inspiration. So I'm going to drum up as much support as I can in the next few weeks to help support the charity too!
