Amelia's Compendium of Fashion Illustration

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm sure you've all heard or seen Amelia's Magazine before.  It is a beautiful website that showcases upcoming, independent and ethical fashion designers.

This year they've brought out a wonderful book 'Amelia's Compendium of Fashion Illustration'.  It is the perfect coffee table book for those of you who wish to be inspired by ethical fashion through the illustrations of a group of very talented designers.
Every page is a world of colour and style.  It features interviews and profiles of different designers and their representation of the world of fashion.
I think it's just lovely and would make a brilliant present.
If you would like to see more of it just click here. I hope you have a fantastic weekend! Enjoy the sunshine! Love Moni

Nkuku

Hello everyone!  It's Moni here, I will be looking after the blog over the next few days while Rachael gets up to date with some other parts of the exciting Rachael Taylor Design world!  I've got a lot of inspiring new posts in store, so I hope you enjoy them.

Today I would like to introduce Nkuku!
Nkuku is a company that offers beautiful products made by extremely talented artisans working in Africa and India.  I love it because it's objective is to help promote the wonderful work of these artisans while giving them an equal opportunity through the principles of Fair Trade.

The've got some lovely products such as stationary, homeware, furniture and personal accessories.  It is not often that we find products which are made with a precise and personalized quality.  It's very exciting to be able to participate in a real business where you appreciate the skill and technique put into something.  So take a look at some of my favourites and visit their website for more!
Enjoy Love, Moni!

Lone Tree Cards

Hi Everyone! Sian here again!

My final blog about all the wonderful talent showcased at Top Drawer!

Lone Tree Cards produce unique, beautiful cards with a unusual subject matter that makes them stand out. Two ranges that really caught my eye were 'Lead Alive', a range inspired by an old collection of lead animals transformed into humorous, patterned cards and 'Stamp' which uses everyday objects such as fishing flies and keys to create patterns in wonderfully subtle colours.

Below are cards from both these ranges, to browse the rest of Lone Tree's cards see their website here!

Katie Heeks Designs

A couple of weeks ago, Rachael and I visited the gorgeous Hebden Bridge.  Its a girly girl town full of lovely shops and yummy cafes.  While we were at the Heart Gallery birthday celebration I spotted the wonderful work of Katie Heeks.
Katie is a designer-maker who creates colourful and magical 3D pictures by using laser cutting.
Inspired by nature, her gardens are full of patterns and shapes that creates a beautiful layered picture.  She sometimes has lights installed to them which gives you the chance of having your own little magical world inside this beautiful frame.  I love the rainforest theme, the mixture of the colours shapes and sizes added to the different layers make it wild and amazing.

Check out Katie's website for pics or info on exhibitions and commissions.  Have a lovely day. Love Moni!
