Noël Skrzypczak

Happy Thursday!  I love writing these posts because I get to learn about so many talented people that just overwhelm me! I is just incredible how much talent there is out there.  Today's feature is no exception.  Noel Skrzypczak was born in Canada but moved to Australia with her family at an early age.  I absolutely love her work, the way the colours flow and move,  I'm amazed by the way she creates shapes from the movement in the shapes.  It is soft but powerful and very much alive.  Have a look and visit her website for more.  Love Moni

Kris Atomic

Today features a lovely illustrator.  Her name is Kristina and Kris Atomic is her alter ego.  She is a freelance illustrator, photographer based in Brighton.  What attracted me to her work was the colours and authentic shapes and lines.  I find her characters adorable and I love the mood it projects.  Have a look a some of her work and check her website for a bit more.  Love Moni!

FANtasy

Hot Hot Hot! The weather has suddenly turned tropical and I love it!  All day yesterday and today I have been walking around thinking, "I wish I had a fan".  Nothing like a bit of fresh air on your face and fans (manual ones) are the best way to have this whilst looking stylish.  Here are a few inspiring photos of these great little objects! See you tomorrow.  Love Moni

Amazing Face

Good Monday everybody, It's Moni here, I will be looking after the blog again this week, hope you enjoy the inspirational posts!
I have become quite a big fun of Penguin Books lately, I have found some beautiful books published by them that combine fun and useful subjects with art, design and illustration.  My latest find is the wonderful Amazing Face (clever beauty tricks, should-own products + spectacularly useful how-to-do-its) by former Cosmopolitan and Harper's Bazaar beauty director, Zoe Foster.
Make up can be a tricky thing, nobody teaches us how to wear it or apply it, what suits our skin and the products we should use.  This is the perfect guide to your own personal make up brilliance. Zoe gives us advise on colours, products and styles.  It is a fun, colourful and easy to follow! If you'd like to know more about it go to the website. See you tomorrow Love Moni

Personally my favourite season, it is the best time in the year to be energetic, get inspired, go outside and explore. Here are a few images to celebrate the start of the sunshine season! Alice Melvin

Hello! I'm back with some inspirational posts for the rest of this week.  I went to London this weekend and ended up spending a long time inside the bookshop at the Tate Modern, I could get lost in all the amazing books.  I bought (from the kids section) a gorgeous Paper Bird Mobile Kit. I loved the prints so I did some researching and I would like to introduce, Alice Melvin:   Alice is a designer/illustrator, based in Edinburgh. Her work is inspired by birds, prints and the decorative art.
She's got some beautiful books all full of interactive details.  I love her bird prints and the playfulness of her prints.  I've got to put my mobile together now, so check her website for more info and enjoy! See you tomorrow. Love Moni

    DIY Decor

Today seems like a good day for a DIY decor tip, don't you think?  I bet we all have some kind of useless inanimate object somewhere at home that doesn't work and can't be removed or hidden.  That was the case with an old phone in the middle of my living room, ugly, visible and dead.  I hated the sight of a nice wall ruined by it, so I decided to take action and turn it into part of the decor with a bit of DIY.  All it took was some lovely Kath Kidston napkins, some glue and voilà, loveliness created.
This technique is called Decoupage.  It is a simple and very easy way of giving things a twist, from objects to furniture.  You can find beautiful napkin designs everywhere and it is pretty easy to do too. Here are some photos of the finished product and some more examples of decoupage art. Get creative! Have a lovely day! Love Moni!
