The Amazing Navyblur!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today I'd like to introduce to you all two very talented photographers that make up the dynamic duo that is Navyblur. I'm a lover of photography & these two just tick all the boxes for me, so much so that I've just booked them for my own wedding in 2013. I first met Christine & Xander at the wonderful 'Do What You Love' retreat back in May 2011. I was really impressed by their fun & quirky approach & general loveliness. I'm super happy to announce that I've also booked them to work their magic with some of my design products too! (launching in 2012)

They work across all areas from weddings through to commercial photography. I'll be sharing more of their stunning images as part of our regular 'Wedding Wednesday' theme tomorrow. Below is a selection of images from the amazing retreat.

You can follow them on twitter @navyblur they also have a great Facebook page here.

Ideal Bookshelf...

Good morning and a happy Monday folks!

Okay so it may be a little late to be thinking of Christmas presents but what I'm featuring today I would definitely buy as a treat for myself! This is absolutely for all you book lovers out there!

Jane Mount, the creator of 'Ideal Bookshelf' is a painter and illustrator creating the most beautifully drawn pictures of books. In her own words she paints 'people's ideal bookshelves: your favorite books, books that changed your life, books that made you who you are.' Please Santa, bring me one for Christmas!? Check out more of her drawings, most of which are custom made, here.

See if you can guess the theme or even the person they were intended for...

Enjoy! And I will see you in the New Year folks! Kelly :)

(Stay tuned...Rachael's last blog post for 2011 is Friday the 23rd)

A Hug A Day

Happy Friday Everyone! With winter well and truly here, these cold, short days often leave us tired, cold and quite frankly a bit down in the dumps. But sometimes all we need are the simple pleasures in life to put a big smile back on our faces, and what better way to do this than with a big hug! Its been proven (not sure who by but I think it works) that a hug a day will reduce stress and keep you happy and thinking positive. So why not give someone you care about a hug every day and spread some festive love!
These beautiful Pinterest photographs are sure to get you feeling cuddly...

Aron Wiesenfeld

Hey Hey! Hope everyone's looking forward to Christmas. This is the haunting yet beautiful work of US based artist Aron Wiesenfeld. It is great when an artist gets you to imagine what might be going on in the mind of their characters. Captivating, dramatic and quietly evocative. Very talented. Hope you like his work. Love Moni!
