Patterns Everywhere!

The Bowery (gift shop, gallery, coffee shop & much more...) Headingley, Leeds has been one of my regular stockists for quite a while now, you can find my greetings cards, gift wrap, wall art, prints, canvas bags, tea towels & aprons here. More recently I was commissioned to design their business cards & backing cards for the beautiful jewellery that they sell.

I popped in today & spotted them! & was really pleased to see my patterns being used in a another form. I think the design really compliments the jewellery.

Here are a few snapshots taken at the Bowery...

If you have never visited the Bowery then I would highly recommend you to, it's a fab little place to relax, shop & feel inspired. They also run great workshops & classes.

*It was also recently nominated as one of the top ten coffee houses in the UK by the Times!

Photography- Matthew Smith

Today on the blog I wanted to share with you a collection of stunning photography by the super talented Matthew Smith

Mini Biography...
After having a solo adventure to Cuba four years ago and selling his first image to Hallmark for their 2008 calendar from that trip (among 2 others) Matthew Smith’s passion for photography and nature is deeply engrained.

Matthew has had work exhibited in his hometown of Leicester England during which time one piece was sold and appeared on a TV show called 'Come Dine With Me'. On top of selling three images to Hallmark for their 2008 Calendar, Matthew had an abstract brussels card purchased and sold during the 2007 Christmas period for charity 'Help The Aged'. Thirteen images have been published as greeting cards with UK company 'Images & Editions. Matthew has recently expanded into the US as he works with the Florida based agency 'Out of the Blue'. Here he has over 65 images on a successful license.

"The world around us is my inspiration. We have so much to learn from just sitting still, slowing down, and observing for at least just a few minutes from our fast paced lives, everything nature has to offer us. Be it the flowers in a meadow or something as simple as watching the sunrise through the clouds. We all get caught up in our modern day lives and taking time to slow down again and returning back to the way nature intended us to be helps us remember we are only human. My aim is to bring a little peace in to peoples lives and to share my interpretation of Natures many wonders".

Matthew is available for new commissions & projects, if you want to get in touch about new work or his existing collections you can email him at: mtsstudios@hotmail.co.uk. To find out more about Matthew or to view more of his beautiful collections you can visit his website
