Ximena Escobar!

We would like to introduce you to designer Ximena Escobar!

Born and raised in Colombia, Ximena Escobar graduated with honours from a BA in graphic design. She then moved to London to get an MA in Textiles Futures at Central Saint Martins College. Since then, she has been working as a fulltime freelance designer and illustrator.

Well known for her wallpapers, she combines her textile and graphic design background to create illustrations in people's homes. Her project Food and the Art of Happiness showcased fantastic work where food was the main character as base and ink in the printing process.  Colour is one of the most important parts of her designs. Her most recent work is inspired by enchanted landscapes and dreams.
We love Ximena's unique aesthetics.  You can see more of her work by visiting her website or her check out her photostream.

MoMA Gallery

Below are a few bit & pieces from the MoMA gallery, New York. I love the typography pieces & the bright orange colour used along with the textures & layering in some of the other pieces. I just took a few quick snapshots whilst I was there & thought I'd share them with you. The MoMA really does have a great selection of contemporary Art.
